INCLUSIVE ACCESS

A website should be understandable, operable and robust for different people and technologies.

Last updated: 30 July 2026

ME&CO aims to make this website accessible and to improve it as issues are identified.

This statement applies to meandcollective.com. It describes the intended accessibility standard, the current review status, known areas being checked and how to request help or report a barrier.

01

Scope and commitment

This accessibility statement applies to meandcollective.com. ME&CO wants people to be able to access the information, services, portfolio work and resources on the website regardless of disability, device, input method or assistive technology.

02

Target standard

The website is being designed and reviewed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 Level AA as the target. WCAG provides internationally recognised guidance covering perceivable content, operable interfaces, understandable information and robust implementation.

The website has not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit, so ME&CO does not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

03

How the website should work

The goal is that visitors should be able to use the core website without relying on a particular device or input method.

• Zoom content substantially without text overlapping or important controls becoming unavailable.

• Navigate core pages and interactive controls using a keyboard.

• Use meaningful headings, link labels, form labels and alternative text with a screen reader.

• Change browser or device text, colour and contrast settings where supported.

• Understand content written in reasonably clear language and receive useful error feedback.

04

Current review status

An internal review of representative layouts and components is in progress. The site structure, responsive behaviour, colour contrast, heading hierarchy, keyboard access, focus visibility, form labels, image alternatives and interactive navigation are being checked. A full conformance claim will only be made after the relevant issues have been tested and resolved.

05

Known or potential limitations

The following areas are being reviewed and may not yet work perfectly for every user or assistive technology:

• Complex hover and dropdown navigation, including focus order and keyboard behaviour.

• Older images, portfolio mockups or decorative graphics that may need improved alternative text.

• PDFs, downloadable resources or third-party documents that may not be fully accessible.

• Embedded or linked third-party services whose accessibility is outside ME&CO’s direct control.

• Very large visual layouts or experimental interactions that may require additional responsive testing.

Where an inaccessible format is essential, contact ME&CO and an alternative will be considered.

06

Feedback and alternative formats

Accessibility feedback is welcomed. If you cannot access information, need a document in another format or encounter a barrier not described here, contact enquiry@meandcollective.com or telephone 07806 983549. Please provide enough detail to identify the page and problem without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

07

Technical approach

Accessibility is considered through semantic structure, responsive layouts, sufficient contrast, visible focus, keyboard support, readable typography, descriptive labels, alternative text and reduced reliance on hover alone. New features and reusable components should be checked before publication and after significant changes.

08

Preparation and review

This statement was prepared on 30 July 2026 and was last reviewed on the same date. It is currently based on an internal review rather than a completed independent audit. The statement should be updated after formal testing, when significant website changes are released and whenever a new accessibility issue is confirmed or resolved.

ME&CO intends to review this statement at least every six months while the website continues to develop.

QUESTIONS OR REQUESTS

Report an accessibility problem or request another format.

Describe the page, device, browser or assistive technology involved and what you were trying to do. ME&CO aims to acknowledge requests promptly and normally respond within five working days.
